Flavors of Ibaraki is an initiative by Ibaraki Prefectural Government to showcase the wonders of the prefecture itself. Being bestowed with fertile earth and various geographical advantages, Ibaraki actually holds some of the highest production yield and supply when it comes to agricultural products like soybeans, lotus roots (renkon) and green peppers. The produces from Ibaraki prefecture also have the highest turnover nationally at Tokyo Wholesale Market for 13 years in a row!
Some of their very famous produces include Okukuji Chicken eggs, soybean products such as kinako powder, natto (fermented soybean), negi (green onions) and more!
This year, we are excited to be collaborating with Ibaraki Prefectural Government to bring in a series of delicious delicacies from the prefecture itself, including additive-free handmade Konjiki Dashi Soba, dorayakis made from Okukuji eggs, seafood packets that can be easily prepared and consumed, organic dried sweet potato and more!
Check out our collaboration with Ghib Ojisan from Singapore, where he makes a series of Omakase dishes with products from Ibaraki Prefecture!
